About Eyebroadband

Eyebroadband was founded in 2016 by Adil Sayyed in Kurla West, Mumbai. What started as a small broadband service provider has grown into a multi-service technology company that touches every aspect of digital infrastructure, from laying fiber cables to building AI-powered applications.

In the early days, the focus was simple: deliver fast, reliable internet to homes and small businesses in the Kurla area of Mumbai. Adil personally handled everything, from customer installations to network troubleshooting, learning the telecom business from the ground up. The first customers were local shops and families who needed better connectivity than what the big telecom companies were offering.

The Challenges We Faced

Running a broadband business in Mumbai is not easy. Infrastructure challenges, competition from major ISPs, monsoon damage to fiber lines, customer support demands at odd hours, and the constant pressure to upgrade speeds while keeping prices affordable. There were months when the business barely broke even.

But each challenge taught a lesson. When fiber cables got damaged during heavy rains, we learned to build more resilient networks with redundant paths. When customers complained about slow speeds, we invested in better equipment and monitoring. When bigger ISPs tried to undercut our pricing, we focused on what they could not match: personal service, faster response times, and a genuine understanding of what our local community needed.

Expanding Beyond Broadband

By 2019, Eyebroadband had a stable and growing broadband customer base. But Adil saw an opportunity to do more. The Shopify ecosystem was booming, and there was a clear demand for developers who could build custom apps for merchants. Drawing on his software development background, he started building Shopify apps, first for local businesses and then for clients across India and globally.

This led to the creation of PromolyApps, a brand focused on Shopify applications. The first published apps, Promotion Banners, Discount Banners, and Subscription Widgets, were built to solve real problems that Shopify merchants faced every day. They gained traction quickly and are now used by hundreds of stores worldwide.

Then came Multistore Sync, a more ambitious project that lets merchants synchronize products, inventory, and orders across multiple Shopify stores. This required deep integration with the Shopify API and taught the team how to build reliable, scalable SaaS products.

The AI Revolution

When ChatGPT launched in late 2022, Eyebroadband was one of the first agencies in Mumbai to start building AI-powered applications. We integrated ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Anthropic Claude into client projects, building chatbots, recommendation engines, content generators, and data analysis tools. AI was not just a buzzword for us. It was a natural extension of the software development work we were already doing.

Operator Training and ISP Support

As our network grew, other small ISPs in the region started asking for help with their infrastructure. They needed training on MikroTik routers, GPON OLT management, RADIUS server configuration, and BGP peering. This organically became a new service line. Today, we provide hands-on training and managed support for ISP operators across India, covering everything from basic router setup to CDN peering with Google, Meta, and Akamai.

Where We Are Today

In 2024, Eyebroadband operates from multiple locations in Mumbai including our head office in Kurla West and branches in Malad West. We serve hundreds of broadband customers, have built over 500 Shopify applications, and work with businesses of all sizes on custom software and AI projects. Our team includes network engineers, Shopify developers, AI specialists, and customer support staff who keep everything running 24/7.

We also launched ShopifyTechGuru, a YouTube channel and content brand dedicated to helping Shopify merchants and developers with tutorials, tips, and best practices.

The journey from a one-person broadband operation in 2016 to where we are today has been anything but smooth. But every challenge made us stronger, every customer taught us something new, and every project pushed us to learn and improve. We are still growing, still learning, and still committed to the same principle we started with: deliver great technology with honest, personal service.
